Join us for the Canadian premiere screening of the documentary Cocaine Unwrapped. From coca farmers in Bolivia, drugs mules in Ecuadorian prisons, cocaine factories in the Colombian jungle, and dealers on the streets of Mexico and Baltimore - to the consumers in the clubs and at the dinner tables of the West. Cocaine Unwrapped portrays a story of death, economic devastation and human suffering and provides unprecedented exclusive access to the political leaders of Latin America and interviews with drugs czars on both sides of the Atlantic.
As part of the evening we will be joined by the director and producer, Rachel Seifert for a question and answer session.

Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy, in conjunction with Calgary 420 will be meeting outside city hall, where we will gather and light Candles to remember those whose deaths are tied to war on drugs policies and social conditions. We will remember those we’ve lost to the dangerous policies of prohibition and the racist and sexist policies justified in the name of the war on drugs.
We will then proceed north on Macleod Trail to the Harry Hays building, where We will observe a moment of silence for those who are tragically no longer with us, because of horribly flawed and inhumane drug policy. We will hear from a few speakers, and open the floor to anyone who would like to speak and inspire the group towards progress.
